THE LT 4X4 SULZER. Sülzer developed a 4x4 version of the VW LT based on the long wheel base. These were either LT40, LT45 or LT47. Opposed to the normal LT40 & LT45, the 4x4's only had single wheels on the rear axle. The chassis was lifted and a propshaft driven, rod/shaft controlled transferbox was installed under the vehicle.
